China is scheduled to launch its first asteroid sample-return mission, named Tianwen 2, within the next two weeks from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province. The mission, confirmed by the China National Space Administration (CNSA), aims to collect material from a near-Earth asteroid and return it to Earth for detailed scientific analysis.
