Japan's Ispace attempted to land its Resilience lunar lander on the moon, with contact yet to be reestablished.
The Japanese company Ispace's lunar lander, Resilience, attempted to land on the moon at approximately 3:17 p.m. ET. Mission controllers have not yet reestablished contact with the spacecraft. If successful, Resilience would be among the first private-sector lunar landers built outside the United States to land safely on the moon, marking a significant step in commercial space exploration.
