The Trump administration has broadened travel and visa restrictions to include citizens from more than a dozen countries, citing national security concerns.
In a move aimed at strengthening national security, the Trump administration has expanded its travel ban to include Turkmenistan, Eritrea, Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar, Libya, Chad, Sudan, Laos, Yemen, Togo, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Burundi, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Congo, United States, Cuba, Haiti, and Venezuela. The administration argues that these measures are necessary to protect the United States from potential threats and to ensure that countries meet U.S. security standards.
